The Institute is part of a national cultural research consortium that is currently developing a major project bid exploring ‘Connected Communities in the City: the roles of cultural intermediaries and cultural learning’. We’re pleased to announce that the consortium has just received a development funding grant as part of the AHRC-led Connected Communities programme, which was made available to us as participants in the programme’s ‘sandpit’ event (an interactive workshop) held at the University of Birmingham in December 2010. We’re especially grateful to Phil Jones (University of Birmingham) and Beth Perry (University of Salford) for leading on our successful development grant application, and look forward to working with our partners on this milestone project.
