Dr Beatriz Garcia attends annual International Olympic Committee meeting

As a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission, ICC Director, Dr. Beatriz Garcia, is in Lausanne, Switzerland, this week for the annual meeting of the committee.
The Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission advises the IOC on all activities of the Olympic Movement that are related to culture in the broadest sense of the term — art, history, focus on values, academic research and patrimonial collections — with a view to promoting the Olympic ideals as widely as possible.
Dr. Garcia’s appointment to the Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission was announced in 2015, after 15 years of observing and analysing its work as one of the leading academic experts on the cultural dimension of the Games.
