Dr Beatriz García to deliver keynote at Montréal ArtsGames forum

Added on Thursday, May 26th, 2016

ICC Head of Research, Dr. Beatriz García, is at the Montréal ArtsGames forum this week to discuss the value and impact of large-scale cultural events.

As a new artistic counterpart to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, ArtsGames will involve artists from around the world competing against each other, with Montréal set to act as the first host of the competition in 2018.

At this forum event, Beatriz will deliver a keynote speech on the potential for events like ArtsGames to connect diverse communities of interest, in addition to highlighting the effect that aspirational interventions can have in transforming the image and reputation of host cities.

Further information about the forum event and the ArtsGames initiative is available on our event listing and via the ArtsGames website.
