Future Cities: Culture, places and spaces, Leeds

Hosted by Leeds Beckett University, this event will offer a lively exploration of culture’s importance in developing healthy vibrant cities, fostering community and reigniting regeneration.

As one of several invited guest speakers, ICC Director, Dr Beatriz Garcia, will share her expertise on Liverpool as a case study in culture-led regeneration.

Other invited speakers include Katy Fuller, Creative Director of Hull UK City of Culture, who will discuss the recent experience of Hull UK City of Culture 2017; Neil Porter, Director at Gustaffson Porter Bowman, who will talk about design and the spatial and experiential angle of culture; and Tom Bridges, UK Cities Advisory Leader at Arup, who will talk about broader strategic movements for future cities.

As part of the event, there will be a drinks reception and networking prior to the speakers’ presentations.
