VELOCITY Talks

Sue Potts, Knowledge Exchange Manager at the Institute of Cultural Capital, has been invited to speak about the Heart of Glass Action Research programme at The Lighthouse in Glasgow as part of the VELOCITY Talks series of events. Heart of Glass is an Arts Council England programme running over a 3 year period, which will see the development and commissioning of a programme of cross art form collaborative public art projects in England’s Northwest, as a means of engaging diverse publics in contemporary art. The VELOCITY programme is a partnership between Glasgow Life, Glasgow City Council, Creative Scotland and Clyde Gateway which seeks to re-imagine, repair and reconnect the physical and social fabric of the city through a public art programme that brings people and place together in a collective and creative response to the impact of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games on the city. VELOCITY Talks is a series of regular talks and conversations that provides an opportunity to address issues arising from the programme.

The events offer networking opportunities for VELOCITY stakeholders: professionals working in city planning and urban regeneration, creative practitioners, artists, architects, designers, producers and arts professionals. Bookings can be made at: https://vtalk220115.eventbrite.co.uk.
