Crossing Boundaries: The Value of Museums in Dementia Care

This event is on 25 November 2015 3:00pm

On Wednesday 25 November, ICC Head of Research, Kerry Wilson, will be delivering a seminar at the Australian National University’s Centre for Heritage & Museum Studies on the value of museums in dementia care.

The Centre for Heritage & Museum Studies holds a series of monthly seminars on current issues in the field.

In her presentation, Kerry will pay particular reference to the House of Memories dementia awareness training programme, which the ICC has evaluated since 2013 on behalf of House of Memories creator National Museums Liverpool.

Successive evaluations by the ICC have helped to reveal the holistic cross-sector value of the House of Memories programme, as well as its significant impact on participating health and social care workers. These publications and further information on our House of Memories research are available on the research project page.
