All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing: Round Table on Arts on Prescription and Social Prescribing

On 9 May 2016, ICC Head of Research, Kerry Wilson, will participate in a round table on Arts on Prescription and Social Prescribing organised by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing.

This round table event will be an opportunity for service users, service managers, practitioners, academics and commissioners to share their knowledge and experience of arts on prescription and social prescribing with parliamentarians.

As part of the event, Kerry and other participants will consider the opportunities and challenges of an arts on prescription model for delivering arts for health and wellbeing; explore how arts on prescription fits into current wider developments in social prescribing; and discuss the policy issues that the inquiry into arts, health and wellbeing should consider in relation to arts on prescription and social prescribing.

Participants will be joined by Danish MP Carolina Magdalene Maier, who is the Alternative Party spokesperson for Health and Quality of Life.
