UNESCO Creative Cities Network Xth Annual Meeting
This event is on 14 September 2016
This week, as an observer at the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Xth Annual Meeting, ICC Head of Research, Dr. Beatriz García, will participate in a panel discussion on the role of culture and creativity in relation to sustainable urban development.
The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) connects cities that want to share experiences, ideas, and best practices for cultural, social, and economic development. The annual meeting of the network in Östersund will act as a key platform for dialogue and partnership working between the Creative Cities and UNESCO, and has been complemented, this year, by a scientific conference, Valuing and Evaluating Creativity for Sustainable Regional Development (VEC), which is designed to convene researchers and policy-makers in support of the research and evaluation needs of the UCCN.
Further information on the annual meeting is available here. Further information on the VEC conference, at which Dr. García will be delivering a keynote presentation, is available here.
