XIX ISA World Congress of Sociology

This event is on 15 July 2018

This July, ICC Research Associates, Dr Rafaela Ganga and Gayle Whelan, will present a conference paper at the XIX ISA World Congress of Sociology in Toronto, based on the impact of the House of Memories dementia training programme on informal caregivers’ subjective wellbeing.

Held every four years, this year’s World Congress will focus on how scholars, public intellectuals, policy makers, journalists and activists from diverse fields can and do contribute, in various ways, to our understanding of power, violence and justice.

As part of the dedicated congressional session on Ageing and the Digital: Key Themes, Future Agendas, Rafaela and Gayle will present a paper that draws on findings from the Crossing Boundaries research programme led by ICC Head of Research, Dr Kerry Wilson, which has evaluated the impact of House of Memories, in various ways, since 2013.
