The Inclusive Museum Conference 2019

This event is on 7 November 2019 9:30am

Founded in 2008, the international Inclusive Museum Research Network is brought together by a shared concern for the future role of the museum and how it can become more inclusive. As part of its scholarly activities, the network hosts an annual conference, which invites established leaders in the field, as well as emerging scholars, who travel to the conference from all corners of the globe and represent a broad range of disciplines and perspectives.

The twelfth international conference on the Inclusive Museum takes place in Buenos Aires, 7th – 9th November, with a special focus on museums, heritage and sustainable tourism. Other conference themes cover a range of topics connected to ‘visitors’, ‘collections’ and ‘representations’.

ICC Head of Research and AHRC Leadership Fellow Kerry Wilson will be presenting her current research on professional ethics in sites of multidisciplinary cultural work at the conference, including museums working in health care settings (click here for her paper abstract – ‘Professional Ethics and the Caring Museum’).
