A Culture of Care: Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance national conference

Now one of the ICC’s favourite events of the year, the 2020 Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance (CHWA) conference will be held on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 March at Derby Museum. Conference themes, each centred on the principles and practice of care, include care for one another (participants, practitioners, commissioners); care for the environment; and caring economies. We presented our research on the value of museums in dementia care at last year’s conference, and ICC Head of Research Kerry Wilson will be attending again this year. The 2020 conference sub-theme of ‘care for one another’ connects with her AHRC-funded research on professional ethics in collaborative cultural work, including museums working in health care settings.
