Information, advice and guidance session on cultural capital to VI form students in Crosby

Added on Wednesday, March 11th, 2020

ICC Head of Research Kerry Wilson was delighted to visit Sacred Heart Catholic College in Crosby on 10th February 2020, to deliver an information, advice and guidance session to VI form students on cultural capital. The institute was invited to give the talk by Laura Baker, Director of Upper School, following the introduction of cultural capital to Ofsted’s framework for the inspection of schools in September 2019.

In her presentation, Kerry introduced the work of the institute, and talked more specifically about the potential benefits of taking part in arts and culture, giving examples of opportunities for young people to engage with arts and cultural organisations in the Liverpool city region (e.g. volunteering opportunities).

We’re always happy to share our research with schools and colleges in the city region, please get in touch if we can help!
