Third Museums for Health and Wellbeing Conference

Led by the Arts Council England-funded National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing, this annual event brings together museum and health sector professionals, researchers and associated communities of interest to share current initiatives, research evidence and support continuing, collaborative professional development.

This year’s event will take place at Birmingham’s Thinktank museum, and will feature contributions from Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery; the Happy Museum programme; The Whitworth in Manchester; National Museums Liverpool; and The Bluecoat. The programme also includes the official launch of the new national Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance.

The ICC’s Head of Research and AHRC Leadership Fellow Kerry Wilson will be participating in the event, linked to her research on museums and dementia care, and on professional ethics in collaborative work between museum and health care sectors.
