Writing retreat in the serene surroundings of Gladstone’s Library

Huge thanks to the Leadership and Development Foundation (LDF) at LJMU for the opportunity to ‘get away from it all’ in February 2020, as part of a series of dedicated writing retreats for academic staff. ICC Head of Research Kerry Wilson made serious progress with a research funding application, with the support of fellow writers and under the brilliant mentorship of the LDF’s Research Development Advisor, Mel Jones.
The two-day writing retreats provide a structured, facilitated space for focused writing in the beautiful surroundings of Gladstone’s Library in Hawarden, Flintshire. They form part of a great package of research support led by Mel, including the award-winning ACTivator programme. All highly recommended by ICC staff, past and present!
