European Capital of Culture selection panel to decide fate of Esch-sur-Alzette 2022

Added on Friday, November 3rd, 2017

On 10 November 2017, ICC Director, Dr. Beatriz Garcia, and the other members of the European Capital of Culture selection panel will convene to decide the host of the European Capital of Culture in Luxembourg in 2022.

Esch-sur-Alzette was the only city to submit a bid on behalf of the Grand Duchy, and if selected will become the second city in Luxembourg to have hosted the title, after the city of Luxembourg itself, which has twice hosted the event.

Earlier this year, the co-host for the 2022 title was also decided, with the selection panel choosing Kaunas as the representative for Lithuania.
